Measurement
Vercel Web Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics is privacy-friendly and cookieless in the site’s current integration. It provides aggregate site-use and performance measurements without setting an analytics cookie or building a cross-site advertising profile.
It is not configured to receive raw search terms or compound-specific authenticated activity. Because there is no Vercel Analytics cookie, there is no analytics-cookie toggle or unnecessary consent banner.
Vercel Speed Insights measures public-page performance through the same privacy filter. Account, checkout, saved, authentication, and article-detail routes are excluded, and query strings are removed from measured public URLs before either service receives them.
Optional attribution
Referral cookie
A cookie named pn_referral is created only after you follow a valid referral or promotion link. It is signed, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, secure in production, and expires after no more than thirty days. It carries referral, promotion, and optional affiliate identifiers so an eligible promotion or attribution can be applied.
The cookie does not contain raw searches, articles read, bookmarks, payment credentials, or inferred health interests. Removing it does not change core access, but it may prevent a referral or linked promotion from carrying into checkout.
This action is safe to use even if the referral cookie is not present.
Service operation
Strictly necessary technologies
Authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and payment flows may use technologies that are necessary to provide the feature you request. Blocking them in your browser may prevent sign-in, account security, or checkout from working.
We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising technologies on compound, search, library, account, or checkout-preparation pages.
